Lt. Commander Jakle

The key to efficiency in the air is training, training, training. Here Commander Jakle straps into his FA/18 Hornet for a morning of close formation flight and carrier landing practice. Jakle has accumulated more than 1,500 flight hours and 200 carrier arrested landings. His decorations include a Flight Air Medal award, a Navy Commendation and the Coolest Guy on the Block Medal. In a 2007 interview he told a Navy Times editor that the wellspring of his motivation was a deep desire to 'fly really fast upside down'. Fly high Commander!

The Doctor is IN !

 .

Yes he's back -at least for the afternoon. Joe C. PhD, feeling dandy before a little aqua candy, here explains to the photographer that in East Lansing chopping through ice is the first step in any surf outing. Once in the water Joe overcame his concern that the California sun might weaken his warrior spirit, declared "this breaker's a taker," dropped into the rocket pocket and self administered a much needed section injection. Book 'em!
Come back soon Doc. A few more pictures HERE
